  • CANCELATION: in-person services cancelled through July 18

    Dear Folks

Prayerfully, and out of caution, we are cancelling in-person services at Christian Apostolic Church through July 18, due to COVID monitoring concerns.

In the meantime, we are working to get internet service restored. Until then we cannot do the live stream service as we did previously.

As mentioned earlier, I strongly urge that no one judge or hinder their fellow believers over a mask issue (or similar issue).

We love you all. May God bless you and keep you safe and well!

    Sincerely,
    Pastor Doug Joseph

  • Additional announcements re. Coronavirus Quarantine + more

    Dear Folks

Greetings in Jesus name! We pray you are doing well during the quarantine. If you need any assistance, please let us know.

All on-location services at Christian Apostolic Church are now cancelled for an additional two weeks. We will continue having live stream services. This cancellation could be revised as needed, but currently extends to Saturday, May 2.

This evening, Purpose Institute sent a COVID-19 Response regarding Final Exams for the current semester:

    • A revised final exam is going to being sent out. It will be multiple choice. Students can simply send an email or a Word document to their instructors with the “letter” of the answer they choose for each question (Ex. Question 1-A, Question 2-D, etc). Students should also include a paragraph about what they learned from the required reading for the course and a confirmation that they completed the reading.

Below is some helpful information about the current status of the quarantine, collected by Sis. Rebecca Lamoureux:

WV is still under the Stay at Home Order until further notice. Once the Governor lifts the order, we may go to the President’s proposed phased approach. The Governor has not given the signal to begin, yet.
The President’s proposed Phase 1 still limits social settings to groups of 10. (From my understanding this would be at least a 2-week period, if not more). (Mid-May at best, in my understanding)
Phase 2 still limits gatherings to 50 people.
    Our Neighboring States:
      • Virginia: Stay-at-home order effective until June 10.
      • Maryland: Statewide stay-at-home order in effect indefinitely.
      • Kentucky: No stay-at-home order. “Healthy at Home” campaign in effect indefinitely.  Gov. Andy Beshear has recommended that school districts statewide suspend in-person classes until at least May 1 and prepare for possibly closing through the rest of the school year.
      • District of Columbia: Stay-at-home order until May 15.
      • Ohio: Stay-at-home order in place until May 1.
      • Pennsylvania: Stay-at-home orders across the state until April 30.

Please continue to pray for Sis. Regina Todd and Sis. Jennifer Owens. Sis. Regina Todd is being sent home under hospice care. Please redouble your prayers.

We pray God keeps you safe and well.

    Sincerely,
    Pastor Doug Joseph

  • Join our Easter Live Streams • 10am & 6pm • Sunday, April 12, 2020

Happy quarantine greetings in Jesus name!

The best news ever is still the best news, even if you have cabin fever, and the best news ever is the resurrection of Jesus Christ!

Due to the pandemic, Christian Apostolic Church won’t be physically gathering at our main campus to celebrate Resurrection Sunday (Easter). However, we will have our Easter live streams. While a virtual Easter via live stream cannot really compare to when we celebrate together in person, we do encourage all to have a celebration meal with family, and bear in mind that when we get past this pandemic, our first real service back together will be a much better rescheduled celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In the meantime, we love you with all our hearts, we are praying for you, and if you need any help, please do let us know. Thank you for continuing to pray for those in need, and thank you for remaining faithful in your tithing, missions giving, and other offerings.

From all of us to all of you, may God bless you and keep you safe!

  • Additional announcements re. Coronavirus + more

    Dear Folks

We pray you are doing well. If you need any assistance, please let us know.

All on-location services at Christian Apostolic Church are now cancelled for an additional two weeks. We will continue having live stream services. This cancellation could be revised as needed, but currently extends to Saturday, April 18. We will plan to have a “rescheduled” Resurrection Sunday (aka Easter), date TBA.

Tonight, the WV WMD District Board made a couple more decisions related to the Coronavirus pandemic:

    • All district events are now cancelled until June 1.
    • The District Conference is now rescheduled to August 28-29. (Essentially it will replace the Cultivate Conference.) Friday AM there would be a district board meeting. Friday evening there would a service event, and on Saturday morning there would be another service event.
    • Also, the Ladies Ministries are rescheduling the District Ladies Conference until October. They will communicate about it, but the new dates are supposed to be October 29-31.

Please continue to pray for Sis. Regina Todd and Sis. Jennifer Owens. The need is very crucial for both of them.

God bless you! I pray God keeps you safe and well.

    Sincerely,
    Pastor Doug Joseph

  • CAC on live-stream only approach for at least the next two weeks

Dear and precious members and friends of CAC:

In a proactive effort to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, as of now, all services at Christian Apostolic Church are cancelled for at least the next two weeks.

We will do our best to provide a live-stream worship experience and message/sermon at each normally scheduled service time. As a reminder, visit https://mycac.net/connect/ for Christian Apostolic Church updates, links to our Live Stream options, and our online giving portal.

The seriousness of this pandemic was shown in the fact that yesterday I had the opportunity to take part in a conference call specifically for pastors with President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary Ben Carson. These leaders were live on the call with us as pastors. They shared valuable information on the latest developments with the coronavirus. We also walked through answers to some of the most pressing questions churches are facing, including why it is important to comply with the recommendations from those in authority during this time. Furthermore, tonight’s announcement and appeal from West Virginia Governor Jim Justice influenced the determination.

We have been prayerfully considering all options and praying for all our people. As you may have heard, one of the challenges in resisting the spread of the coronavirus is that an infected person can go without symptoms for up to two weeks, possibly infecting others during that time, without realizing they themselves are carrying it.

Again, currently we are shifted to a live-stream only approach for at least the next couple of weeks.

As always, online giving of tithes and offerings can be done at https://mycac.net/giving

Please continue in prayer with us regarding wisdom during this crisis.

Below is a good communication that Sis. Lamoureux sent out to our Ladies Ministry list.

Thank you for all you do. We love you. God bless you.

    Sincerely,
    Pastor Doug Joseph

    Coronavirus Check-In Saturday, March 21
    Happy Spring!

Coronavirus is wreaking havoc in our country right now. No doubt anxiety is high for many people, over health, financial, and other concerns. But as the Body of Christ, we know this, “Coronavirus is not king, JESUS IS KING!” Remain in God’s steadfast presence, as we pray for those affected by this illness.

    2 Timothy 1:7

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

    Psalm 46:1-11

1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
    2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.
7 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
8 Come, behold the works of the Lord, what desolations he hath made in the earth.
9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.
10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
11 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

Let us not be afraid, but with confidence use this opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus through our prayers and our care for others.

That said, please “Check In” on this post. Please let us know if you have a true need. Respond on this post, or send a text. (no FaceBook Messenger please.
