Helen Faye Sandy, 84, of Nutter Fort, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 surrounded by her family.
She was born in Barbour County on December 21, 1934, a daughter of the late Harry and Ada Kimble Wright.
She was married to Russell F. Sandy who preceded her in death in 1997.
Surviving are three sons, Russell Sandy and his wife Cheri of Stonewood, WV, David Sandy and his wife Brenda of Martinsburg, WV, John Sandy and his wife Tracy of Nutter Fort, WV; five daughters, Rhonda DeMoss of Nutter Fort, WV, Susan Moran and her husband Greg of Bruceton Mills, WV, Nancy Myers and the late Tim Myers of Ruther Glen, VA, Linda Vaughn and her husband Ashley of Watkinsville, GA, and Brenda Arthur and her companion Donnie Arthur of Toledo, OH; 17 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; four brothers, William and the late Joan Wright of McWorter, WV, Robert Wright of Stonewood, WV, and Richard and the late Brenda Wright of Chattanooga, TN, and Roger Wright and his wife Jean of Central Station, WV; one sister, Rosella Glaspell and her husband Paul of Salem, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Sandy was a homemaker and spent many faithful years as a Pastor’s wife and was active in ministry at the Christian Apostolic Church. She loved her kids and grandkids, and enjoyed her dog, Teddy.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Wanda Lee Wright, and her special dog, Zoey.
Family and friends may call at the Christian Apostolic Church, 334 Glen Falls Road, Clarksburg, WV on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 pm, where funeral services will be held on Friday, June 7, 2019 at 11:00 am with Pastor Doug Joseph officiating. Interment will be in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
