As a body of believers, let us unite in prayer, entrusting our nation’s capital to the Lord during the inauguration and over the weeks and months ahead. Inspired by the words of Jeremiah, let us call on God Almighty to extend a covering of protection, peace and reconciliation.

“And seek the peace of the city … and pray to the Lord for it; for in its peace you will have peace. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:7, 12-13 NKJV).

We commit our leaders and representatives to You, Lord, knowing the heart of the king is in Your hand and that all governments are subject to Your authority. We ask for a supernatural peace to be upon Washington, D.C., and over the cities and towns across the land (the Republic). And above all, we ask for the hearts of the nation to turn to You, Lord.
