Dear Folks
Please bookmark the “CAC Connect / Announcements” web page:
This and any future important announcements will be posted there.
First, let me echo some worthy comments that have been offered regarding the fact that no believer should judge another believer (or church or pastor) regarding how various local assemblies are making their way through the efforts to stop the spread of the coronavirus. Churches and/or individual believers who decide to (during the crisis) not maintain personal attendance at corporate worship services should not castigate those who continue doing so, and those who do maintain having/attending services should not castigate those who cancel services (or, as individuals, stay home). Please reread the entire 14th chapter of the Book of Romans, and take note especially of v. 4: “Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand” (NIV).
Second, and importantly, please do your best to find a place to fit within the following options:
- If you should choose to stay home from church services during the crisis (even if you don’t have symptoms, but simply due to your personal concerns about your age, or your immune system, or just general abundance of caution), we welcome you to participate in worship as best you can via our live stream options (available for both YouTube and Facebook, see link below) and to maintain worship in giving through our church web site’s online giving portal (see link below).
- As recommended by healthcare professionals, if you have any symptoms of cough, shortness of breath, or fever, we ask that you remain at home and tune-in via the live stream options. This commonsense approach protects you and your church family. You are so important to all of us. Again, you can do at least some worship participation through our live stream options and maintain your giving via our church web site’s giving page (see links below).
- For those who are blessed to attend church services in person, please avoid physical contact including handshakes and hugs. Instead, you could perhaps try “air hugs” or “air handshakes.” One exception would be Elders / Pastor laying hands on someone during prayer for them. However, both altar workers and Elders should seek to stand to the side of the person you are praying for, avoiding getting your face in the path of their potential cough, and vice versa. Furthermore, we will aim to make hand sanitizer available in the foyer, near to the front door, and we ask you to use it. Finally, be aware that we are doing additional sanitizing of the church facility between services.

I know all this is difficult and it will continue to be difficult. We deeply appreciate your cooperation.
Finally, no matter which option to you use, or even some combination of the above, all of us should continue to pray that lost, hurting souls will permit God to use this situation for their betterment regarding eternity! It may well be that we wind up winning souls because of the crisis!
To summarize: At this time, we are having our regularly scheduled services for those who are able to attend in person. At the same time, we fault no one who chooses to not attend during the crisis. We are all one body, and we support each other as best we can. Thank you for helping us continue the work of God.
Sincerely,
Pastor Doug Joseph
